PROJECT OVERVIEW:

Over the last four decades, Grammy Award-winning producer/engineer/mixer Ross Hogarth has worked with recording artists like Van Halen, Roger Waters, Motley Crue, John Mellencamp and Jewel.

Since upgrading to Dangerous Music digital audio converters last year, Hogarth has unlocked even more sonic possibilities in the studio. We interviewed Hogarth for a Dangerous Music blog post about the music he’s been mixing on the new equipment, including his next project: a tribute album honoring the late blues icon, Johnny Winter (pictured below)

“The goal is to honor Johnny, not just do cover versions or karaoke,” Hogarth says of the project, which will feature guitarists like Joe Bonamassa, Bobby Rush, Buddy Guy and Joe Walsh, with Ringo Starr on drums. Now, thanks to Dangerous, Hogarth’s mixing bus is equipped to master it all.
